Designers

The visual impact associated with a product or a service can affect the way it is perceived and the level of success it experiences in the marketplace. A graphic designer is called upon to establish and guide these perceptions with marketing and communication skills that provide solutions to problems, communicate messages, and sell products or people to a chosen market through visually stimulating graphics. Designers may work individully or as part of a design firm. In either case, their services include consultation, design, production, project coordination, art direction of illustration and photography, and print supervision. Design firms may also provide account services, copywriting, editing, marketing, advertising and public relations.

Based on a recent survey conducted by the ADCMW, our member designers have at least four years of college (BFA) and 10 or more years of experience. Many own their own businesses or work as independent contractors (freelancers). They maintain extensive computer equipment and software, along with the traditional tools of design. They stay current by attending seminars or classes on new design directions and communication techniques. In other words, they are professionals you can count on.
