Photographers
The photographer is a collaborator, using their problem solving talents and technical expertise in combination with the art director and client's parameters to transform an assignment into an artistic creation.
Using a growing array of tools, ranging from cameras and lenses to scanners
and computers, commercial photographers transform ideas into visual images
that communicate an idea. Today's photographers have access to digital imagery that allows them to perform image manipulation on their desktops that, not too long ago, was the exclusive domain of million-dollar computer systems. Now, with the right equipment and expertise, photographers can manipulate and create images beyond the transparency. The camera as an input device begins the creative process, rather than ending it.
Professional photographers focus their talents in particular fields of photographic endeavor, such as still-life, fashion, architecture, advertising, corporate/industrial, editorial, and more.
