What I like about ADCMW
ADCMW is a laid back, peer to peer organization that really celebrates not only the processes and artifacts of design, but also the locals who make it. I am committed to pushing our educational limits and outreach, and Selena and I will be bringing you great FullBleed content all year!

What I like about ADCMW
I love the sense of community ADCMW brings to DC’s design scene. We have such a wide variety of creatives all coming together for their love of design. At any given event I can run into other print and web designers, photographers, art directors, agency owners, freelancers, or even just friends of creatives.
Plus the Club’s events rock! They never cease to inform, inspire, and educate.

What I like about ADCMW
What the ADCMW represents to me is energy, passion and sharing. I may be biased, but there’s no community of professionals I’m aware of who are more passionate about the work they do and their quest for new and exciting ideas. Over my many years of watching the DC creative scene evolve I’m constantly amazed at the energy and willingness to share among all those involved. The ADCMW has been a dynamic part of that evolution. Over the years the club’s focus has stayed true to its mission to provide meaningful programs, champion education efforts for young creatives, and sponsor two of the most prestigious (and sought after) awards competitions—The Annual Show and The Real Show. The ADCMW is a mirror of the DC creative community at any given point in its history because the Board of Directors is made up of practicing volunteers who are excited about giving back to their peers. For me it’s this passion, sharing, and energy that evolve with each new year that keep the club relevant and a tremendous value for its members.

What I like about ADCMW
The very fact that I'm on my fifth year on the Board of Directors of the ADCMW should tell you how much I enjoy this organization! I started in Programs, then spent two years chairing the Education Committee, and now I'm Secretary. Great colleagues, great programs, and a great chance to reach out to our creative community. Next time you see me at an event, be sure to come over and say, hey! I'm always up for a chat. Or hit me up on Facebook. Till then…

What I like about ADCMW
What I like about the Art Directors Club is the tight knit community of designers, design students, and other professionals. These are people who have a passion for creativity, design education, and the design profession as a whole. I love that there is such diversity in our community: from print, to web, designers working with mobile devices, copywriters, photographers, and everything in between. These designers and professionals come from a range of work environments as well: in-house, freelance, studios, and educators from local design schools. What I like most about the ADCMW is that all of these people not only inspire me, but the range of professions and experiences that they bring can only help me grow as a designer.

What I like about ADCMW
I was always attracted to the Art Director's Club because it was the most social, most friendly and had the great diversity in its membership and programing; I felt like a member before I was a member. I think ADCMW has gone such a great job at helping bring the entire design community together, and it's exciting to be a part of that.

ADCMW is my community. Through it I’ve learned, made friends, and expanded my network. It’s also allowed me to give back to the industry in a number of ways — recognizing and promoting excellence in design, helping students, and building awareness among the business community of the importance of great communication.

What I like about ADCMW
After a long absence, I’ve come back to the ADCMW fold to find a field full of interesting and vibrant people. The Club’s intimate scale and the friendships it promotes make it special. Where else can you help individuals at the corners of their careers re-imagine their lives?
Whether you’re just starting out or outstanding in the field, there’s a place in the Club for you. But to get the most from membership, you have to participate — the honors of membership will take you only so far.
So wipe that Mountain Dew off your chin and catch a great program or happy hour. Better yet, volunteer. Really, the best stuff happens behind the scenes.
