ARTICLE V Elections
Section 1. Nominations The Nominations Committee shall nominate at least one member for each Officer's position and for each Director's position to be filled at the annual membership meeting. The nominations shall be submitted to the Board by April 15, and to the membership, with a statement describing the procedure for members to submit nominations, by April 30. Additional nominations may be made with the endorsement of five members by submitting notice of the nomination, and a written statement of the nominee consenting to being so nominated, to the committee by May 15.
Section 2. Ballots The Nominations Committee shall be responsible for coordinating the nominations, disseminating information to the membership, approving the form of the ballot and supervising the mailing of ballots to members eligible to vote.
Section 3. Elections Ballots must be received by the Nominations Committee for tabulation no later than the commencement of the annual membership meeting. The chair will inform the President of the results and the President will announce the election results at the annual membership meeting.
Section 4. Membership The President will by February 1 (with suggestions from the Board) appoint the chair and four other members of the Nominations Committee, not more than two of whom may be Officers or Directors. |
