Since our formation in 1953, we’ve been volunteering our time to:
- Advance the quality of service and the standards of integrity, honor and courtesy among those actively engaged in the field of graphic design;
- Foster a fraternal spirit among the members;
- Promote a code of professional ethics and rules of conduct that encourages and promotes honest and fair dealings between art directors and clients, associates, government, and the general public;
- Offer guidance and promote the welfare of students planning to enter the profession;
- Sponsor educational and social activities; and
- Increase the awareness and status of the graphic design profession in our community.
We could not make these positive impacts without the individual efforts of our professionals and students in the fields of graphic design, photography, illustration, writing, and other generally awesome specialists who support the growth of the visual communications scene in DC.
