Since 1950 — before ADCMW was incepted as a formal club — creative individuals in our organization have planned a competition that enables creatives in the local DC community to photo courtesy of John Harringtonshowcase their best print and interactive work.

This renowned event became known simply as the Annual Show, and we’ve proudly organized and marketed the occasion each year to ensure the scene is populated with the best and brightest creative professionals in the Washington, DC, area.

First, we bring our most thought-provoking creations to the competition, which is judged by nationally renowned designers like:

Then, we leave the day’s deadlines at the door for the gala, which is a delicious, semi-formal dinner that feeds the bellies of participants and supporters.

So, if you’re a print or interactive designer in metro Washington, enter the competition and then joyfully celebrate design with other esteemed professionals who — like you — are actively shaping the bourgeoning DC creative scene.

Oh, and About the Annual Show Awards…

There is both a print competition and an interactive competition. You may enter work into one or both of these competitions. Each entry requires a fee of $20-65, depending upon what you’re submitting, how many entries you’ve submitted, and whether or not you’re a member Photo Courtesty of John Harrington of ADCMW. (Hint: Members pay less!)

Judges for each competition select a small number of exceptional entries to receive the prestigious Gold and Silver awards. These Gold and Silver awards will be awarded during the Gala Dinner to the winning Art Director, along with other credited team members who will receive Award Certificates.

Each entry accepted into the Annual Show receives a Distinction of Merit. And all entries accepted into the Annual Show will be published with credits in the Annual Show Catalog and displayed in the Annual Exhibition.
