The Annual Show
The ADCMW Annual Show and Gala, is held at the National Press Club in Washington, DC and highlights hundreds of local designers, art directors and firms work each year. In addition, ADCMW recognizes several individuals and design firms with medals for their outstanding work.

The Real Show (student competition)
The Real Show is an annual competition giving college students the opportunity to solve real-life communication design problems. Student pieces are judged by a panel of designers and educators, and the winning pieces displayed in an exhibition, along with the actual designs. Entry in the Real Show is a prerequisite for consideration for the Brian Brown Scholarship Program.

The Brian Brown Scholarship Competition (invitation only)
Following the real show, this annual competition requires students submit samples of their portfolio to be reviewed by a panel of professionals. About $2,000 in scholarships is awarded each year to students, to be applied to their tuition, based solely on the merit of their work. Entry is by invitation only, with students selected from entries to the Real Show.
